Fircroft Winter Exhibition
Following their highly successful summer exhibitions, local artist Frank Taylor and his wife Christine decided to launch a winter exhibition in 2010. It was so popular they have decided to do it all over again this year.
The Exhibition will run from the 24th November until the 2nd December – daily 11am until 6pm. They will be showing the work of more than 50 established and emerging British Artists and Makers as well as work by Indian textile makers and leading Zimbabwean sculptors. Many of the exhibitors have international reputations and all are highly respected in their own fields of artistic endeavour.
For those who have not yet visited a Fircroft Exhibition, they have been running for the last sixteen years at Frank and Christine’s home on Albury Heath. Fircroft’s high ceilings and well proportioned rooms make it ideal for showing paintings, prints, ceramics, glass and jewellery and the garden perfect for showing larger sculpture. Frank and Christine exhibit work by artists they admire. Their warm hospitality and the quality of the art being exhibited ensures that their events are both enjoyable and enlightening.
Entry is free and Frank will again be concocting his now infamous mulled wine, so be warned.
Many locals will remember the snow falls of two years ago, Frank and Christine have promised that if the snow comes again this year the dates for the Exhibition will be extended see www.fircroft.info for updates.
